Bishops Blend

ERD and Pura Vida Coffee present Bishops Blend, a premium line of dark-roasted coffee from Central America, Ethiopia and Indonesia.  Bishops Blend coffee is certified Fair Trade, organic, and shade grown.
  • Fair Trade– We purchase from small coffee farmers and guarantee them fair treatment and a fair price, even when world coffee prices drop.
  • Organic– Our coffee is grown without chemical fertilizers or pesticides.
  • Shade grown– Our coffee grows beneath a tree canopy which both protects the coffee plants from intense heat, and returns vital nutrients to the soil.

Bishops Blend coffee combines social justice with ERD’s mission of responding to needs around the world.  Fair Trade coffee helps farmers in the developing world receive a living wage for their coffee, while protecting the environment.

The sale of Bishops Blend coffee also furthers ERD’s mission of responding to issues such as poverty, hunger, and disease worldwide.  All proceeds raised through Bishops Blend go into ERD’s general fund so they can be used for the areas of greatest need – such as emergency assistance after floods, or support for AIDS orphans.  When you buy Bishops Blend, you change lives!

There are a variety of ways to order.  Click the Pura Vida button below to order now, or keep reading to learn more about Bishops Blend.

Give a goat for income and nourishment

Goats are prized in many developing countries for their milk, meat and manure. Also, they produce more goats! They are hardy and well-adapted to a variety of climates, and they can be raised on very small farms. The gift of a goat provides ongoing income for a family.
